Winter Training
- Dates:
- Entire month of December & January
- Cost:
- $5 per splash per athlete
- Resorts/hotels:
- Marina Del Mar, Holiday Inn, Ramada Inn, Port Largo Villas, Bayside Resort, etc. (all located within walking distance of JAC)
- Attractions:
- Snorkeling/diving, swimming with dolphins, parasailing, underwater national marine sanctuary, fishing, etc.
- Climate:
- The Florida Keys on average are in the 70's during the winter. In case of an occasional cold front JAC's pools are heated. It is always sunny so make sure to bring plenty of sunblock.
- Diving info:
- JAC has two 1 meter diving boards and one 3 meter board. In addition, the facility has a trampoline with spotting rig and dry board area.
Orange Bowl Swim Classic
Come join the excitement at the Annual OB Winter Training and OB Swim Classic
at JAC in the fabulous Florida Keys. The OB Swim Classic is an official OB event
held the first weekend in January and is an integral part of the month long OB
festivities, highlighted by the FedEx Orange Bowl Football Classic. JAC features
a 25m, 8 lane "fast" myrtha pool with 8 foot lanes and dive well. A state of
the art Colorado timing system insures accurate times. JAC also has a dry land
facility for dive training, a 28 x 42 multiuse pool and a 1200 square foot room
with video equipment to facilitate training seminars or meetings. Completed in
June, 2002, JAC is already beginning to earn the reputation as a first class
facility, fast times, and terrific staff support. JAC invites you to be a part
of the internationally acclaimed OB festival by participating in the OB Swim
Classic and OB Winter Training.
